Hi everyone, David Clemons here, CEO and Co-Founder of HERO®.
This morning the issue of safety is weighing heavily on my mind. Every day it seems there’s nothing but bad news for our country, our neighborhoods, and our families. The question we’re all thinking is how far will it go? Like me, I’m sure you’re worried about keeping your family safe, and continuing to live your life without fear.
These are concerns we all have, and it’s the reason we created our company. We started with a simple goal; build personal protection devices to save lives. It seemed like everyone around us had personal stories, and we’ve all been in their shoes.
My story truly started when members of my family stopped doing the things they loved, like enjoying the outdoors and taking walks, out of fear for their safety. Then, in November of 2018, a dearly loved family member was taken from us in a senseless act of gun violence. This tragic and painful moment made it obvious to all of us, we need to start thinking differently about our personal safety and the protection of our families – right now.

Our products are straightforward and easy to use. It’s been a long road, but we’re proud of our engineering accomplishments. We can all agree lives should be saved, and the tool to do it should be reliable, easy to use, and effective.Â
Every time I watch the news I’m reminded about why we do what we do. What we’re working for. For many of us, HERO® has become more than a brand or a product. We’re starting a non-lethal movement! We’re passionate about designing and building high quality, affordable self defense tools accessible to anyone. We’ve made the products, we offer the training. Now It’s time to save lives.
And that’s what we’re going to do.Â
