Pepper spray has been a staple of less-lethal defense tools for decades. But it does have drawbacks, many of which are addressed by gel based payloads.
While most injuries sustained by protestors still technically fall within the definition of outcomes for less-lethal devices, many were serious and could have been avoided. The common factor behind these injuries comes down to either a lack of training, or outright failure to follow safety guidelines.
As protests sweep the nation, we cannot ignore the calls by so many for real change. It’s clear as a society we are ready for less-lethal alternatives. Regardless of politics, we can all agree reliable and effective less-lethal options result in safer outcomes for everyone, saving precious lives.
As civil unrest sweeps the nation, many find themselves in the path of potential harm. At stake is not only the well being of protestors, police, and bystanders, but also public and private property. Understandably many are worried for the safety of themselves, their loved ones, and their homes and businesses.
While we cannot control the actions of others, we can take steps to protect our families and property.
We’re all excited to leave our homes and venture forth to enjoy the great outdoors and reconnect with the people we’ve missed. And while safety guidelines for health are fresh on all our minds, we want to remind you other threats have not gone away.
